- What's the morning schedule?
Going to a new place can be a little uncomfortable for some people, especially if you don't know what to expect. So here's some answers to frequently asked questions about what you'll experience during your visit to Grace.
We have two Worship Services for your convenience. The first at 9:00 am and the second at 10:30 am. The service begins with music and song accompanied by the Grace Worship Band. All the words to the songs are on a large screen. The Bible-based messages have relevant, practical applications for today. Between Worship Services from 10:00-10:30 am, we have a brief time of fellowship in The Gathering Place. There you can sit back, relax, have some coffee and a light dessert and get acquainted with us.
- What do I wear on Sunday?
Dress comfortably! Each Sunday, you will find some people dressed up, but the majority will wear clothes that are casual and comfortable.
- Where do I park?
There are plenty of parking spaces available on Sunday mornings around the entire facilities. We have mobility-limited access at all entrances. We have special parking for persons with disabilities. There is also guest parking on your right as you enter the parking lot, near the main entrance. So, if you are visiting for the first time, please feel free to park there. Get a site map here.
- What opportunities do you have for my kids?
Starting with an excellent Nursery, there is something special for every age, from birth through grade 6.We have a safe, clean, and well staffed Nursery for children 2 years and under, during both the 9:00 am and 10:30 am Sunday Worship Services. Parents receive pagers so that they can be contacted by the nursery attendants if the need arises.At 10:30 am, during the second Worship Service, we have Toddlers, for children ages 2-3, non-potty trained, (Pagers are also available for parents of toddlers); and Sonbeams, for children 3, 4 & preK 5's, who are potty trained. Children in these classes begin to learn about, and experience God's love in their lives through stories, games and crafts designed just for them.Sunday School, for those in kindergarten through grade 6, is held at 10:30 am, during the second Worship Service. Fun, Bible-centered classes, staffed with friendly, qualified teachers and helpers is offered for this age group.Sunday Youth Group, we encourage Middle School and High School Students to attend one of the Worship Services.
- How do I find the Nursery and classrooms?
In order to help you find the Nursery and various classrooms, our greeters and ushers are located around the building as well as in The Gathering Place. They will gladly help direct and even escort you to the right place. Directional signs are found in the hallways and maps of our floor plan are available for you at The Connection Wall.
- How large is our congregation?
Average attendance is several hundred on Sunday mornings. We are committed to growing smaller as we grow bigger. Caring for each person is one of our highest priorities and we seek to do this in the context of small groups which meet on Sunday evenings, Wednesday evenings, and other days and times throughout the week.
- Are you traditional or contemporary?
At Grace, you will find we are a blend of traditional and contemporary.
- What Bible translations do you use?
We use NIV- New International Version. Other versions are New King James and New American Standard.
- Does the church collect offerings?
For your convenience we have offering boxes located on the walls outside The Grace Family Center, or you can give during response time at the end of the Worship Service. You can also give online at our website.
- Can I get an audio CD or DVD Video copy of Sunday's message?
Yes. Go to the Welcome Center, someone there can help you fill out an ordering envelope. Your CD or DVD will be available for pick-up at the Welcome Center the following week. You can also listen to the current message series on-line.
- What is Grace's policy for inclement weather?
We try to hold Sunday services if at all possible. However, there may be times when we need to cancel services due to bad weather conditions. Listen to the local radio station and check our website for closure information. Regarding our weekly events, Grace follows whatever the St. Helens School District does. Again, listen to the local radio station. Whenever possible, information will be posted on the website.
