In our 4 & 5's class, we are helping your child get ready for Kindergarten. We have a fun, hands-on learning curriculum.  We use Zoo Phonics to learn our sounds, Zaner Bloser for handwriting, and Math Your Way.  We use Chef Combo for nutrition, Mudpies and Magnets for science, and Jesus Loves Me for Jesus Time.

I draw from many resources for crafts and theme related classroom activities. Each day we have great fun in our music and movement time class.  We'll teach your child how to print his/her name, count and recognize numbers 1-20, recognize letters, learn the sounds of the letters, and learn colors and shapes.
 
Some of the themes we focus on are:  transportation, community helpers, dental care, fall, winter, spring, and insects.  During free choice, your child can do painting, play in the drama area, play in the sensory table, look at books, work in the creation station and make a craft.
 
We have a covered outdoor play area, so we'll go outside often. We do have snacks each class day provided by the helper of the day.
 
We do a cooking project once a month, and we put on two programs, a Christmas Program in December, and an End-of-the-Year Program in May.
